Hey, I’m Rafa, a developer from Portugal 🇵🇹 in Bergen, Norway 🇳🇴. I build apps, design interfaces, practice parkour, hike and bicycle around. Firm believer that less is more, unless it’s hobbies.
You can find me in many platforms under the handle rafms or rafmst, and I always use the same avatar photo, so if different, then it's not me.
The best way to code a new project
In theory, starting a new project is exciting. I love the planning process, from the branding part, to creating tasks and starting to tackle those tasks. In reality, it's overwhelming and if not done properly can be a death sentence to what look like a fun project.
Veten in Øygarden
This hike was planned as a half day escape since it's so close by. I planned going there just because I once saw a picture of this giant classic guitar sculpture and I never knew where it was. Finally I found it and I also found out there was a nice hike, with nice views, a Dagsturhytte and an old war place wreck on top of the mountain.
Playing with obscure programming languages
There’s something fascinating about learning and experimenting with niche, lesser-known programming languages. I think it’s the same curiosity that draws me to spoken languages, if I could choose any superpower, it would definitely be the ability to speak all human languages.
